Answered i18n not running after moving to new server

    I wrote a simple CMP to manage an online contest. The package works on my development server but fails when I moved it to the production server. (I just copied the files over and used the build code found in the 'Doodles' tutorial.)

    Specifically - the lexicon file is not being found by the grid (contests.grid.js) - all the field names are missing. Everything else is working, I can update the data in the grid - I just done have field names.

    When this has happened in the past I have just deleted the namespace and then added everything again - but this time that didn't work. The 'Lexicon Manager' and the 'Components Menu' load the file and have the correct values and it is being loaded into the cache. It just doesn't load in the grid.

    Any ideas on where to look would be appreciated.

      I found the answer - still don't know why it is happening - but I found the fix.

      The 'lang_topics' field wasn't being filled in the 'actions' table. I added the default lexicon, in my case 'contests:default' - but that didn't comletely clear the problem.

      I had to go in and manually delete the cache, the 'action_map' doesn't seem to be deleted when you just do a 'Clear Cache'. I logged out and cleared my local cache, and logged back in.

      And it worked.

        This is a known bug. When you create an action in the Manager, that field doesn't get set. No one noticed because most Extras set the field when installed. It drove me nuts for several days. wink

        FYI, if you create the menu/action in MyComponent, the field gets set when you first run Bootstrap (and your CMP gets a transport package).
