hi all,
is there any possibility to detect and deactivate broken links?
e.g. when i link to a resource, but delete the resource afterwards, the link still exists and is NOT deactivated (what imho is a major feature what i expect from a cms)
what i also miss is a detection of deleted images
e.g. when i delete an image, modx doens't check, if this image is used in a resource (which should also be a major feature of a cms)
are this features implemented in modx or are there any possibilities to realise this two things?
best regards

That would be wonderful if this could be realized: proof that the CMS was seriously close knit and super-duper intelligent.
But I think, unless I am wrong, this feature belongs to the world of Magic, and not to an ultra-flexible CMS.
TinymceWrapper: Complete back/frontend content solution.
Harden your MODX site by
passwording your three main folders:
core, manager, connectors and renaming your
assets (thank me later!)
5 ways to sniff / hack your own sites; even with renamed/hidden folders, burst them all up, to see how secure you are not.
It wouldn't be too difficult to create an Extra to do this, but it would be pretty dangerous to have it actually delete or deactivate the links and you could have some embarrassing code on your site after it ran.
For the deleted resources, there is the LogPageNotFound extra. Bots crawling your site will try all the dead links and they'll be logged, though it won't tell you where the links are. There are a number of web services that will check your site for dead links, though. For example:
