Hello all...
This is my first post here. I have been using Wordpress for years and feel it is time to ’grow up’. Sure Wordpress is good, but for my purposes I am not seeking a run-of-the-mill application. As an avid WP user, I am used to and know the majority of the coding and hierarchy it entails. I have not installed MODx onto my newest project as of yet. I have one question that is probably going to be a little amateurish to some here. So here goes:
Does MODx have a feature, either in the form of code-snippets, plugins, modules, that will allow me to display the child pages of the parent page, when you are on the parent page? I want to create a directory area, with about 10-15 main categories, and of course subcategories under those. I want to also be able to have a breadcrumb nav while the user is on any of the child pages. Also, if this feature is available, can I keep it limited to only the directory?
In essence, the directory is going to serve as the most static element of the entire website. I want it to appear like a true directory, with features rendering it as such, while at the same time not using a cookie cutter routine across the entire website (no breadcrumb nav where it is not needed).
Thanks to any who can help, I am looking forward to using MODx (for the second time around).
Okay nevermind, I should have just looked at the resources first. Wayfinder is the way....
