I uploaded and attempted to install ModX on my hosting server but keep encountering the same error when trying to create a database table and a new user account. This is on a fresh installation of 0.9.6, Linux Server,Apache, PHP5, MySQL 4.0.27.
Invalid install action attempted. [action=options]
When I test my database connection everything comes back as valid and I haven’t been able to find anything related to this error online. I set all of the read/write permissions as outlined in the install readme so I’m at a loss to whats causing this.
Any thoughts? I’d love to use this as a CMS but I’m not having a lot of luck.
UPDATE - I looked into the database details through phpMyAdmin which my host provides and it says "No Priviledges". I checked their documentation and apparently this is because I’m on a shared server and there’s no way to change this. Could this be blocking the install? I’ve never had a problem installing other CMS systems through this host so I don’t know what the deal is.
