I must be missing something. Once again I have gone through the Doc on Bobsguides.com top to bottom but can't seem to get this to work. I have attached an image of screenshots to help illustrate what I have setup.
My issue is that even though I can set the IDs of the parent folders in the config.php for my component the child resources are not getting exported. Resource 33 "Site Template 1" does not get into the _build

That worked. My interpretation of the setup was that with the identification of the parent ids the children would just get picked up. I imagine with $getResourcesById = false that whole section of the array is simply skipped. I had not considered that option.

With $getResourcesById=false, it's only looking for pagetitles, and you didn't list any.
Is that to say that this is valid?
'parents' => array('Docs','Examples') when $getResourcesById=false

Yes, though getting them by ID is more reliable (since you can have multiple Resources with the same pagetitle) and a little faster.
