Firefox trying to save index.php

I am have a few problems getting a site up for a friend on shared hosting from ixwebhosting.com...

In Safari the homepage fails to load fully and each subsequent page fails to load.

In Firefox the homepage loads, but when trying to go to all other pages it opens a save dialog and tries to save index.php.

(Friendly URL’s are off)

I bet there is something wrong with the server config, would you please share the details plz?

Since it isn’t my account, I have limited access to the configuration, but here is the PHP info:

As php pages are served well, I don’t think it’s a php problem. The server however doesn’t send any response headers when looking for an existing document with id’s > 1.

The strange thing however is when looking for an inexistent document (id=25 or something) the server sends a 404 error and redirects properly to the homepage.

Do you have some rewrite rules in your htaccess misdirecting the requests?
