Hello!
I’m creating a site, where users wil be able to post different kinds of news (pretty common use case).
For each news item there following components should be present: title, annotation, content, and the template variable, that will determine tags for this news item.
I read tagged blogging with ditto article - it is great, but it doesn’t say a single word about the posting process. As I realize the posting process
is carried out using NewsPublisher snippet (are there any other ways to do it?). So in the NewsPublisher snippet I can specify the name of the
rich text template variable that would be used for the content of the news. That works great.
But if I add another template variable in the NewPublisher form (btw - what widget it is better to use for the Check Box tv to edit it from the web?),
It doesn’t affect the created document - as it was given the default value of this variable from the creation time, so it still has.
I suppose, that it is possible to edit the created document from the web and set the necessary tv there. But you know, it wouldbe great to set the tags on creation. Is it possible with NewsPublisher? Or should I use another snippet? Or the only way to do it is to edit the document after its creation?
My newspublisher snippet call:
[!NewsPublisher? &clearcache=`1` &postid=`[*id*]` &template=`basicnewspresenttemplate` &canpost=`news_admins` &makefolder=`1` &formtpl=`basicnewslistpostchunk` &rtcontent=`tvnewscontent`!]
The part with news type variable in formtpl:
<tr>
<td>╥News tags:</td>
<td>
[*newstype*]
</td>
</tr>
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Boris
