Revo 2.3 and REST

So I stumbled across Splittingreds gists https://gist.github.com/splittingred/2346752 and https://gist.github.com/splittingred/4689218

This is going to be really great if it means modx natively supports REST requests for information from resources, custom tables, etc. If I nab https://github.com/modxcms/revolution dev branch would I be able to try out a sneak peek of 2.3?

Actually, rest could be epic for modx. It opens the possibility of easily (ie not writing your own rest api) to send data stored in modx to mobile apps for example. Allows others to hook into the data and build apps on top of your site.

Some interesting possibilities at the perfect time for a few projects I have that can use this - if I'm reading into this correctly. Can't wait for some documentation.

I just installed the latest nightly again, and I've found two bugs so far. When creating a new TV, while it does create the TV, after saving the TV you end up redirected to a page that is not found. Also the "Close" button when editing resources doesn't do anything. However, image TV fields are nice and short. There's absolutely no difference in the image TV template file, so that extra-wide field in 2.2.7 is coming from somewhere else.
