I have Gallery set up on a client's property management website. We're using gallery to show a single album of images on each property page. Everything was working fine. The client has now come to Gallery no. 20 but for some reason it does not seem to create a new album folder on the server. Up to folder 19, everything is there but nothing new. Although within the Gallery component itself in MODX Manager, the new album gets created with ID 20, I can upload images etc. but all image thumbnails are broken. I've even changed permissions to 777 from 755 just in case.

Any ideas??? The site is on 2.2.5 and the gallery plug-in is up-to-date on 1.4.0

Thanks! [ed. note: intandem last edited this post 13 years, 5 months ago.]

Latest version of Gallery is 1.5.2: http://modx.com/extras/package/gallery In Package Management, search for Gallery and download it manually instead of checking for updates (it sometimes doesn't work right). See if that fixes it.

Uploaded and installed the Gallery 1.5.2 package and tried to create a new gallery but still have the same issue. No new Gallery folder created on the server and thumbnails broken in Gallery component. Any other ideas?? I'm stumped. I've also tried manually creating the next folder ID on the server but uploaded image thumbnails are still broken and don't appear in the folder.

Ok, looks like we found the issue. Somehow a few of the Gallery paths in system settings were pointing to core/components/gallery instead of assets/components/gallery, causing the images to be created in the wrong location. Fixed that up and now it's all working again ... Mystery! [ed. note: intandem last edited this post 13 years, 5 months ago.]
