Hi all - feeling a bit alone on this one - but surely can't just be me - there seems to be similar but not identical issues in the bugtracker but wondering if anyone has a quick fix or workaround out there?
When publishing article entry for first time the temporary URL is sent in the accompanying tweet, so any links back from the twitter entry are immediately invalid, as by that time the URL should be of the form domain.com/blog/2013../blogpost/ etc etc but the URL that is sent is of the form domain.com/blogpost.html.
Only way around this at the moment I can find is to unpublish then immediately republish then quickly delete the first invalid tweet from with Twitter itself.
This was my first go at articles and found it pretty painless until I worked out that this was happening. Server is linux cpanel running MODx 2.2.6 and Articles 1.6.4
Any help greatly appreciated...
Just a quick update - now running 1.65 (for some reason the auto update wasn't seeing it as an option - so manually installed) - but still the same. Didn't expect it to fix it but was worth a go...
Have worked around it for now by disabling the twitter feature in Articles and using www.twitterfeed.com for the updating. Working well so far...
Another option would be use the Notify extra for the twitter notification, but twitterfeed might be easier.
My uninformed and basic thoughts were that the twitter notification gets sent just that little bit too early - if it waited a bit until the proper URL was in place then all would be fine. So far so good on the twitterfeed method though. Working well...

That's quite plausible... I wonder if the URL calculation is also occurring via a system event, so if the Twitter notification is hooked to the same event, you'd have to bump up its priority number so it executed *after* the URL was calculated. That's the only way to control which plugin executes first/last when they're both firing on the same event.
