Answered Cannot create a new Manager account

I've tried to create a couple of new manager accounts but they have been unsuccessful.

I'm currently using modx 1.0.9 on apache with PHP 5.3. As far as I have checked the user gets the email confirmation of the details and the user_attributes table gets populated with information but the "internalKey" of that field is left blank. This means the new manager account doesn't show up in the manager list and trying to do it again fails with duplicate email address.

I have manually changed the internalKey to what it should be and that has cured the manager list so it appears. Amending the account and resaving populates the rest of the relevant fields in the table and all is well.

I was wondering what could the issue be and is there anything that can be done to cure the problem. I came across another post which referred to uploading 2 files in case they were corrupt. They were mutate_user and save_user in the manager folder. It didn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for that Sottwell. To be honest I barely use it so I can wait for the official release of 1.0.10.

I have the same problem, but I have no idea what I am looking for on that link...are we just to install version 1.0.10? [ed. note: meltingdog last edited this post 11 years ago.]
