I installed TinyMCE, but it is'nt showen at the editor

Hi,

I installed the TinyMCE but at the content editor it is'nt to find.
It's the latest version.
How can I get it to use it for editing?

In the Manager go to System > System Settings. Then on the Filter by Area drop down select 'Rich Text Editor'.

Is 'Enable Rich Text Editor' set to 'Yes' and 'Editor to Use' set to 'TinyMCE'? If so have you tried to clear the cache after installing the extension?

Might also want to check the resource itself, in the settings tab. Is the "rich text" box ticked?

It dosnt help. I made a screan shot, may it is visiple, whats could be wrong.

Try clearing the cache manually by deleting all the files in the core/cache folder. Your screenshot looks fine, as it should. Do any resources show a rte? Are they all set to use rich text in the settings tab?

You mean at the server? Please have a look at the attached screen shot (cache.png). This folders look important to me. You mean to erase theme?

Yes.

I even re-instalated the hole modx again and installated the package for TinyMCE and again the TinyMCE is not showen.

YES. You'll want to do this first when you run into issues so get used to it. These files/folders will be reloaded as soon as you visit the site again. In fact, you could even delete the core/cache folder itself and it will regenerate (although I never do, I delete just the files). Be aware of which folder you're deleting though and make sure it's deleting core/cache/fileORfoldername and not core/fileORFoldername (I did that once... not good. MODX can't function without it's core)

I have a feeling this might be your solution, so I'd like to find out if it works before pursuing any other suggestions at this time.

If it doesn't work, please check the error log (manager menu -> reports -> error log and tell us what you see.

Something else to try is to install CKEditor from package management and set the RTE to that editor instead of tinyMCE. Do you see RTE in resources then?

Hi,

delating the folder core/cache/ dit not help.
The error log is empty.
(I never cleared it.)

I don't know what's going on with RTE. Did you get CKEditor to work? Sounds like it's time to reinstall MODX. Perhaps some files are missing from your installation. Did you happen to FTP your files to the server or did you upload the MODX zip file to the server and extract it there?
