Is there any existing facility to check for the latest version of MODx (or a release history)? I would like to get this via a cron job so GitHub isn't helpful.
For example Drupal has
http://updates.drupal.org/release-history/drupal/7.x while Wordpress has
http://api.wordpress.org/core/version-check/1.6/
It would be extremely handy.
