I've setup the newest modx version (2.2.6) with Cahracter set utf8 and Collation utf8_general_ci. if i add a page, snippet etc. it skips a id, for example the last id is 5, auto_incement is 6 but if i add a page, the page get the id 7. I test it with the same version and latin1 in this case everything work as it should. I have no idea why this happens and hope anyone can help me.

I'm guessing that at least part of your DB is set to latin1 (which is the default for MySQL).

I try it with a new Install (incl. new DB), db was set to utf8 before i start the installation. Nevertheless I've tested the tool, but it still happens. I've forgotten to say that I use two SQL Servers setting up with Master-Master Replication and one with mysql-proxy , i don't think that this is the reason, because other applications work with it without failures. And on both Servers the AI is the same one higher as the last value.
Are you running VersionX, or any other plugin that might be creating an extra resource?
Have you looked in the site_content table in DB to see if it's skipping the even IDs, or if not, what's in them?
