Hi everyone!
I need to close site from other people while it is developing. Best variant - use basic auth with login and password. Also It is need that google not would crawling site while it not ready.
How I can make passwd file and which console editor I can use over ssh? I have Standart plan with ssh. I tried nano and mcedit, but its not work. Who did it?

Easiest way is to use the System Settings and turn the site_status to "No". Now only logged-in Manager users can view the site. Everyone else will get a standard "site_unavailable_message" message (also set in the System Settings) or a specified "site_unavailable_page" page.
