Today is one of those days where I was figuring out stuff with MODX. Keep in mind, I am by no means a programmer.
Working with MODX at times - frustrating. Why?....
Because it's difficult to find EXACTLY what you are looking for at times. That's to be expected since MODX is still a relatively new(er) kid on the block. However, once you do figure it out and those light switches go off in your head, you start to realize just how powerful and flexible MODX really is.
Getting past that initial hurdle might be a daunting task but I'm starting to learn that you can really make an efficient system that works EXACTLY how you want it to work with as little (or as much) code as you want.
I gotta say that MODX is by far the most IMPRESSIVE system I have run across - PERIOD!
(My next step is to head over to the donate button - I challenge you to do the same. These guys have created a great CMS)

Oh and Bob - if it wasn't for your book, I probably wouldn't be at the stage I am now with MODX...
