Maybe I've missed something here, but I can't find out how to prevent Revo from creating duplicate urls and titles for documents when using the Duplication option.
IE When I press the Duplicate button in Revo it duplicates the document with the same url and title.
In Evo it at least used to ask you for a new name/title and would not let you use the same url.
Is there a way to get the same functionality in Revo?
PS Checking the "Check for Duplicate URI's" option in System Settings doesn't do anything.

It does not, exactly, duplicate the alias. What is happening is that when saving the duplicate prior to opening it for you to edit, the page title is automatically being used to create the alias. This feature can be turned off in the System Settings, and will result in a blank alias field.

Susan,
I get that, but ordinarily I want the system to automatically create the alias, just not when I'm creating duplicates.
So it's not really a workable solution.
The other thing is that when creating the duplicate it doesn't take me to the duplicate, the doc window remains on the original.
The Duplicate has already been saved with the same Title and alias and you have to go hunting to find it, open it and change it.
And given it has exactly the same name you have to remember to check the id number to make sure you are working on the right document.
Is there any way to at least give it a different name when it gets created and before it gets saved?
The way it's set up at the moment just means extra, unnecessary work.

To prevent this, don't use the duplicate button at the top right of the resource edit page. Instead, right click the resource in the tree. You'll see a nice little popup that asks you for the name of your new resource. Voila! No duplicate alias or page title.

Ah, see that's what I love about Modx, so many different ways to skin a cat.

Well, I would call that a bug in the editing page's duplicate function button. Although in my tests, it always opened the new duplicate for editing.
On sites I've got to test with right now one is 2.2.0 (I know... I'm updating shortly) and one 2.2.6. The duplicate button creates an exact duplicate without an option to change the title.
It returns you to the actual duplicated resource however, so you could change it there and save. But the resource is actually saved in the tree and available prior to returning.
6 to 1, half dozen to the other... It's either remembering to change the page title and save the resource one way, or being forced to by way of popup the other.
I so often wish page ID's showed in the resource edit pane. That would really be helpful.

Or perhaps a more distinct highlighting in the Tree of the resource currently being edited.
Something... I find myself looking up to the information panel area and there's no ID shown. Seems like the simplest of identifiers... tell me what ID this is that I'm working with.
No?
That has been mentioned a few times. It would indeed be useful to have the resource ID prominently displayed here and there.
