client is using evo 1.0.4 and tinymce 3.3.5.1. went to edit a page and some of the icons were missing in tinymce. when saving the page, tables totally stripped out of the code. no issues in ff or chrome. i can replicate issue.
anyone familiar with this issue? will an upgrade resolve?

You would be wise upgrading to at least 1.0.9, addressing several major security risk. In addition the upgrade should address your TinyMCE issue. I would start there and post back if you still have issues.
