I'm newbie at the MODX Revo, but I need build site with it. I asked to support with the next question:

"My old Drupal site contains near 55000 documents. I need new CMS and I think about the MODx Revolution. I heared that the MODx Evolution has restrictions to 5000 documents. What are restrictions of the MODx Revolution?"

    I was get this answer:

"There are no such limitations on MODX Revolution. The only practical limitation would be on your server itself. Depending on your traffic and caching (of which there is by default with MODX) you should easily be able to manage 55,000 documents. One consideration is that the document tree may become unwieldily, however if many of the documents are serial in nature like news articles or blog posts, they would not have to appear in the tree. For mor help with strategies for higher volume content sites, I'd seek answers in the MODX Community forums."

Based on the phrase: "the document tree may become unwieldily, however if many of the documents are serial in nature like news articles or blog posts, they would not have to appear in the tree." I want to ask how can I solve this problem? How can I customize the manager page?

Please recommend me any plug-ins or any articles by this subject.

Also, as stated if my of the documents are serial posts and managed through the Articles add-on, this will remove them from the tree and they'll be listed in the related Articles container.

That is also true. However, Articles comes with a lot of built-in features and function that you may or may not want. The MIGXdb method is very simple; it just hides the resources from the tree and provides a TV or a CMP to manage the hidden resources.

Maybe you want to checkout my new component for MODX Revo: Resource Explorer. This will help you won't mess up with the resource tree. The component is under admin-check before published on Addons Site.
You can check it out at http://github.com/xgenvn/ResourceExplorer

The component is also working with Article Container, as I'm trying to make it Articles-friendly.
