After trawling through dozens of posts on this subject only to find they are talking about Revo not Evo, have given up and am now trying the direct approach here.
This is the issue I have
I have several pages that need to be accessible on the front end to a web user group.
They login and can view those pages, no-one else not logged in can see them. Great, works fine.
The issue I have is one of those pages also needs to be editable by another user group and only be viewable onlien to them.
I have created a User group called walk-admin under manager permissions and created a resource group called walk-editors and linked that to walk-admin
My new manager is assigned as walk-admin on their manager settings page
Ive set up my web user group and permissions.
The page I want to edit is set up and has access permissions ticked for both the web user group and the editor group,
The issue I have is at this point its not directly editable by the manager with the Quick editor- ie they have to go to the backend manager as they cant view the page at all in the frontend- less than ideal in this situation.
I want them to be able to edit via the quick editor, but have this page only visible to these 2 groups.
If I change the settings on the page so that its accessible to only the manager "walk-editors" it can be edited by the manager in the quick editor, but the page is now visible to ALL - though not visible directly in the menu, its still on line to anyone via its url ie not protected.
I have created a page for web users which calls the planner contents and given them separate access permissions here

So I can omit this page from the walk-admins
So now have change my file structure so that Walk co-ordinators and the editable Planner is in the main file list, not in a sub directory, the main planner page here is set to walk-admins, BUT in that instance it is viewable by ALL who have the url.
If I change it so that its access permissions are ticked for walkers (web users ) and walk-admin (managers) it isnt live, but when the walk-admins login they get a page cant be found, and can only edit via the backend Manager rather than the quick editor.
Is this correct or am I missing something?
Cn it not be done IE restrict pages completely unless logged in as either manager or web user.
