Custom Resource Icon Per Individual Resource?

Is there a way to change the resource tree icon of a specific resource without creating a custom resource type? So I could have a calendar icon for a resource with a MIGXdb event/calendar/resource management system (like articles has). It would just be a really nice finishing touch to some of my websites. Considering how easy Modx makes it to simplify and customize the backend for less technically experienced clients (the biggest selling point I have as a designer!), you think there would be.

Is there a way for a TV to override this perhaps in conjunction with a plugin to change the rendering in the manager? If not, how would I submit a feature request to Modx? I have never done so before.
