Problem in the Developing an Extra in MODX Revolution tutorial

Im having troubles get this work, I am sure that I followed the tutorial correctly.

But when I needed to generate my files It says "Could not load class: modValidator from validation.modvalidator."

But when I downloaded the sources from Git (to skip the previous step) and used their class (the one should be generated by the modx) it fails, and Send the message "Table not created".

Then I downloaded the CMPGenerator add-on, and it installed correctly, I followed the instructions, but when I try to fill the rows of my table, it fails again.

Is there something I am missing? something I need to configure previously?

I have same problem, I still use ModX revolution 2.2.6 -pl (traditional).

Modx said "Could not create row "

Hm. Installing the latest (1.1.3pl) I get this in the installer


Other than that, it's working quite impressively up to the running of the snippet, where the "Could not create row" business shows up.

Ahah! Turned out in the "prefix" field I'd put "modx", not "modx_"! Works great now.

I get that "Could not load package metadata" error too, and adding the 'modx_' prefix didn't work for me. I think it may have to do with the package having no related database table. I saw something in one of Bruno17's GitHub repos where he added a metadata file, which might be prevent this error.

I've tried changing the prefix and it did not work.
I think is the version of my modx. I will make the change and report it back.

I changed to version 2.2.0.pl and it worked!!!, so This tutorial does not work for 2.2.6.pl version of modx revolution. How could I contact the tutorial creator to notify this problem?

Better to file it as a bug in MODX 2.2.6 at the "Found a Bug" link on the right side of this page. It may have been filed already.
