Does anyone know the best way of keeping track of the number of times a document has been downloaded (using FileDownload R), without this information being visible to the end user (For example, not displaying it alongside the download link)?
I believe it can be done by calling &tplCode to overrule the default template.
For example:
&tplCode=`

([[+count]] downloads)

Removing the count part is enough. Downloads will still be counted, just not mentioned in output!

Thanks for your comment - might be missing something here, so apologies if so, but how does the website administrator check the number of downloads?
As far as I can see, that's not possible. I think you have to create a CMP [Custom Manager Page] for this feature. You can only see the stats in de database tables.
