Upgrade path from Minishop 1.x to Minishop 2?

Hello,

I created a cart with Modx Revo and Minishop 1.x.

I see Minishop 2 and would like to use Minishop 2 instead of Minishop 1.x.

What should I do?

Can I install Minishop 2 besides Minishop 1.x?

Or should I uninstall Minishop 1.x, clear cache, elements and then install Minishop 2 and create products, categories, etc.


Any feedback will be appreciated.

You can try to install MS2 and convert current MS1 products and categories to new classes by theese scripts.
Warning, php skills is required and i am strongly reccomends you to create a backup.

Note, that in MS2 three chunks has the same name, that in MS1 - it is tpl.msCart.row, tpl.msCart.outer and tpl.msGallery.row. They will not be updated when you install MS2 - update it manually.

Where and how should I run console scripts?

I am not an expert PHP programmer but I have worked with Modx for years.

I see in Github that there are 3 scripts:

config.inc.php
ms2gallery.php
ms2products.php

Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

This files will installed with MS2.

You can run them trought browser or server console.
