    Hello!

I many hours I gave up and would like to ask for help.

I had to move my site and change domain, so I found this information and used it - http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server

I had few problems along the way, but at the moment front end and back end of site is working.

Unfortunately if I press any menu item, or any link at all I get redirected back to the same page in old site (still live). It also seems that every picture is linked from old site.

I have checked db, updated config files - all 3, changed .htaccess, cleared cache several times.

I'm using wayfinder for navigation, but I couldn't find any setting for it, that would affect this. [ed. note: viltnieks last edited this post 13 years, 6 months ago.]

Just to check, you're clearing the cache manually by deleting the files from core/cache, correct?
Also, you've re-run setup after the move, correct?

After re-running setup, check the config files.

      Have you run this?

It's common for there to be problems during a site migration. There is a script available that will run tests on your MODX site to ensure that the configuration file is configured correctly. See the test_config.php script available as one of the MODX utility scripts here: https://github.com/craftsmancoding/modx_utils

        Thank you for replying.

Actually I was using cache cleaning from manager, but I tried to clear cache manually as you suggested. Unfortunately that didn't help sad

        Yes, I had re-run setup.

I tried suggestions from Final checkup, I got these errors:
        /home/amlogi/public_html/core/model/modx/processors/source folder does not exist!
        /home/amlogi/public_html/connectors/source folder does not exist!
        /home/amlogi/public_html/manager/min folder does not exist!

These folders don't exist in old site either.

I also noticed that if I type url from new site manually, it opens url from new site with the correct domain. But every link in site is pointing back to old sites url.

I also tried to disable FURL and rename .htaccess back to ht.access. but that didn't help either. [ed. note: viltnieks last edited this post 13 years, 6 months ago.]

Do you have any hard-coded URL setting in the system settings, context settings, or user settings? I ask this because of bitter experience.

I actually looked for those, but I don't think I have, Navigation is generated by wayfinder.
I will recheck context settings though.

And a hard-coded base_url or site_url will definitely ruin your whole day.

                Thank you Frogabog and sottwell.

sottwell, thanks to you in only ruined my morning instead of whole day smiley. Since I had multi language site, context settings were wrong. Now everything is working great!
