Simple resource list container

Hi,

I have around 50 resources in a folder, each one is an events page. This makes the tree a little unwieldily, I want to hide the resources and make a container much like how articles works, but without all the extra fields.

I can hide the resources in the tree using this extra:
http://modx.com/extras/package/resourcehider

but I am not sure how to create a simple container to list he resources and edit inline, can anyone point me in the right direction ?

No. Articles uses a custom resource class.

Has anyone done this yet - a simple custom resource for keeping the file tree clean? If not I will try and use articles as a base.
