After update to 1.0.9, I've noticed, in two of my websites, some parse error in the error log of the new snippet "if":
« MODX Parse Error »
MODX encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
« PHP Parse Error »
PHP error debug
Error : mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'sending authentication information', system error: 32
ErrorType[num] : WARNING[2]
File : /home/mydomainname/domains/mydomainname.it/public_html/manager/includes/extenders/dbapi.mysql.class.inc.php
Line : 89
Source : if (!$this->conn = ($persist ? mysql_pconnect($host, $uid, $pwd) : mysql_connect($host, $uid, $pwd, true))) {
Note: I never used the snippet if
Didn't know that there was an If for Evo.
Where you see what error in snippet if?

Hi Susan :) the snippet if was added in the last 1.0.9
from the 1.0.9 changelog
* [#9554] add Snippet IF
dmi3y, I have no error on the front end.
it's weird because I have not yet used this snippet
That's not an error with the if snippet. It's a warning with mysql_connect. Don't know what it is causing this.

Jaco, ok, the mysql_connect could be a server overload, but i never seen before an error from an "unused" snippet.
It is a warning in a line with a php if clause. It is not a 'if' snippet call.
Indeed, nothing to do with any snippet at all. This error is occurring during the initialization of MODx; it's trying to connect to the database and can't. This usually means an overloaded shared server.
