Just running the "Upgrade Existing Install" function and all seemed to work OK. However, now when I go to log in to the manager (/manager), the screen is blank. Also, when I go to the root of the site /index.php, the page is also blank. During the install process everything checked out OK, including PHP version, MySQL version, etc. All green checkmarks. The only thing that seemed a bit odd was the Install Results screen which seemed truncated at the bottom but it is hard to tell. I have attached a copy of this.

Any suggestions? I am trying not to panic just yet but this isn't what I expected from a simple upgrade.

For reference, here are some details:

PHP version on server: 4.3.9 (which the install program indicated was OK); however I see that minimum PHP requirements are 4.3.11+ (Could this be the issue?)

    Thanks!

It should be noted that I previously tried to upgrade to 1.08 and had the same problems as above.
      • Upgrading from such an old version can cause a problem with the old snippets. When doing upgrades like that, I take care not to overwrite the old snippets in the assets/snippets folder, and to not upgrade them in the installer.

That said, there may well be problems with such an old version of PHP. What does your server's error logs and its PHP error log say?

        • Hm. The installer checks for 4.2 or later. Where do you see anything about the minimum requirement?

            See http://develop.modx.com/develop/evolution/requirements/, where it's given as 4.3.11.
