When I logged in to Revo today and went to edit a Template all I got was an empty section.
I can see all the Templates in the tree menu but when I select any of them, nothing shows up in the editing section.
I can select and edit chunks and TV's from the Tree, but the same thing happens if I try to open a Snippet - blank screen.
I don't need to be scared like this first thing in the morning.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

Does the Quick Update work? Can you create new ones?
Try manually removing all the folders in the /core/cache/ folder. Check your database tables to make sure they're OK.
If this is an older version of Revo, maybe this would be a good time to upgrade.

Susan,
now everything's gone and I just get a list of links when I login with no style or backend design.
It is 2.2.6.
The host says it's not their problem and I should speak to Modx, however I know it's a hosting issue, but whaddya do?

Several things to try -
First, clear your browser cache and cookies for the domain.
Next, try manually deleting all the /core/cache/ folders.
Go into the database and in the system_settings table, set the compress_css and compress_js fields to 0.
Re-install Revo as if it were an upgrade.
Try a fresh Revo installation in a subfolder just to see if it does work.

Susan,
yes already thought of doing a sub folder installation.
I strongly suspect the original install was corrupt as I've experienced all sorts of weird issues with the current setup.
We shall see.

Yes I was looking at M Cloud and Vapor earlier, looks tempting, I'm just worried about performance and latency issues from here down under.
Safe mode is off.
The install into a sub directory went smoothly, and some of the things that have been bugging me for the past month all work ok, so it's looking like the original was a corrupt install.
Will have to do an reinstall/upgrade, that always makes me nervous.
I'm also concerned that whatever is corrupt in the current version might be stuck in the dB.

Ok,
the reinstall seemed to work, still having problems with a few extras though that I didn't have with the sub directory install.
In particular Tiny MCE seems to be having some path problems. Keep getting a Page Not Found when I try and insert a link.
Ah, I see you've come across this problem before

I'll take this glitch up there.
Ah well, at least everything's back on track.

Pooh, bugger, bum !@#$%^&*()_+.
Worked fine for about 10, minutes, and then it happened again.
WTF?
I know this is not a Revo issue, something screwy is going on with my host.

Did you disable css and js compression?
