    hi there smiley

    i am currently working on a website with heavy use of accessibility features, like structural navigation. the website has to support be at least 2 languages, e.g german and english. now my first problem ist to replace several keywords with their counterparts in the opposite language.

    for example: i have a chunk which changes the textsize, so it says "Textsize: smaller | normal | bigger"
    so for someone with an german culture key, the word "Textsize" should be replaced with the german word for it. i'm not very familiar with php so i need a little push in the right direction, where i have to start.

    thanks in advance smiley [ed. note: avater last edited this post 13 years, 7 months ago.]

      I think the most straightforward way would be to just use full MODX language tags.

      [[%LanguageStringKey? &language=`[[!++cultureKey]]`&namespace=`NameSpaceName` &topic=`default`]]

      Create a namespace (System -> Namespaces) and then in System->Lexicon Management, select that namespace and create your language strings.
