Wayfinder sub menu not working

Hi all I'm new to Wayfinder and I'm faced with the following I have a top main menu (which work fine) however I need to have a left side to display the sub menu,I am currently using the following call [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`2`]]to dispaly my sub menu however this also show the top menu navigation, I only want to diplay the sub menu can you help thanks

Have you tried the UltimateParent add on?

That's exactly what I wrote it for all these many years ago

Then I learned how to use TVs with @INHERIT binding. So, as is usually the case with MODx, there's more than one way to get the same result.
