I recommended a friend of mine to try MODX Cloud. He originally setup a Standard account, but downgraded to a Lab account because it suited him better.

He's trying to setup a paid production cloud on his Lab account, however when selecting a server location (US or Amsterdam), it says no servers available.

He's been a little unlucky, as this is the 2nd problem he's experienced. 1st problem there was a bug with the signup process that wouldn't allow him to signup.

Has anybody else experienced such behaviour?

Feel a little embarrassed when ever he reports back basic signup or setup errors when using MODX Cloud. These are simple tasks like creating a new account or cloud - complete barrier to entry. I would of thought these things would be top priority for an online business. No signup / no paid production clouds = no revenue for MODX Cloud.

Granted, MODX support are fantastic and very helpful / quick at fixing bugs. But when I tell my friend his barrier to entry has been fixed (he can now 'signup' or 'create a paid production cloud'), he's looking at me thinking what kind of service have you recommended.

Update: Bug has now been fixed. [ed. note: jonleverrier last edited this post 11 years ago.]
