'Filesystem' mediasource problems

    Hi All,

    I screwed up. Accidently i deleted te 'Filesystem' mediaresource.
    But now my clients can't use the filebrowser anymore. Aparently the resource browser (that pops up from tinyMCE) uses 'Filesystem' MR.
    So i tried to re-create the 'Filesystem' mediasource, but then i get the warning
    A Media Source with that name already exists! Please specify a new name.
    So in the list of media sources there is NO 'Filesystem' and i can't recreate it...
    how can i fix this?

    edit: I can see the 'Filesystem' MR in the Dbase (modx_media_sources) it just doesn't show up in the grid for mediaresources [ed. note: rdaneeel last edited this post 13 years, 7 months ago.]

      Try running setup again and choose upgrade I think that should take care of it.

          If you have direct access to mySQL, the following query should sort you out (replace [PREFIX] with your db table prefix)

          INSERT INTO `[PREFIX]_media_sources` (`name`, `description`, `class_key`, `properties`, `is_stream`) VALUES
('Filesystem', '', 'sources.modFileMediaSource', 'a:0:{}', 1);

            Hi Allan,
            I can see in the DB with navicat.
            The mediasource Filesystem IS there becuase i recreated it with ID 1.
            Stil it won't show up in the grid (Tools > MediaSources ) when i try to edit the mediasources. i CAN see mediasource ID2 and ID3.
            Also the permissions seem screwed up MS 2 shows up under the files tab but only shows the folder 'Media' that doesnt even exist on the server and i checked the paths the are ok.
            i can't figure out where the data is coming from when the grid gets populated.
            any ideas?
