Answered site_url call producing odd result in email link

Background: Recent upgrade from Evo 1.0.5 to 1.0.8 - migrated entire website (custom shopping cart) to new host server, successful re-installation over clean new install.

Following a successful purchase on the website a confirmation email is sent to the customer which contains a link back to the website which displays the previous order for re-ordering purposes. The link contains a url to the site, a logon password hash, an order ID and page reference to load and is constructed as per the following example.



The call in the email code is:
<a href="{$url}?customer={$hash}&orderId={$orderId}">Example Company Name, re-order confirmation page</a>

Which produces the following link in the confirmation email: (actual details changed)


Problem: The returned url (see item above) produced by the call is missing the two // after http in the confirmation email.
I can't figure out what to adjust to produce a correctly formatted link. Any help here is gratefully received.

Thank you for your succinct code solution. I tried it and it worked also. I have your book and had I known what to look for I could have referred to page 646 for the correct syntax. Think I'll re-read it again.
