    Good Morning Modx peeps,

Trying to upload an image through the "Template Variable Image Widget" and set a size (width/height) when it’s loaded up, but the HSpace and VSpace don’t seem to be forcing anything.

It’d be good when the FCK loader uploads it to do it then.

Am I missing something painfully obvious!

    Thanks,

    DanC

I’m assuming you’re obviously trying to resize the image output of this TV. I’ve never used the Template Variable Image Widget, but instead I use PHP Thumb (http://phpthumb.sourceforge.net/). It’s super easy to use. Just download it to your computer, unzip it, ftp it to your server and when you call the TV for that image, just use PHP Thumb to resize it on the fly.

Here’s an example of a site I just recently built using PHP Thumb to both create a thumbnail of a property and to resize the image when it is enlarged: http://rent2ownhomesonline.com/available-properties.html

The client I gave Manager privileges to uploads the image in the Template Variable section, and PHP Thumb handles resizing it according to the parameters you set.

Sorry if that doesn’t exactly answer your specific question, but I’ve never used the Template Variable Image Widget, but I have found PHP Thumb to be awesome for all my image resizing/cropping which I’m assuming you’re trying to accomplish.

About the H space and V space...maybe I misunderstood what you were saying in your post, but those values don’t determine image size, but Horizontal and Vertical space around the image, correct?
