I wanted to wrap this in a <code> tag,

    [[*content]]

The markup looked correct in Source view but when the page rendered the code block was missing. This only happened when using square brackets. Other characters in a <code> tag rendered fine.

I found a workaround but sadly it's far from permanent and has to be reapplied every time I edit anything on that page.

In Source view I manually add the entities for square brackets and once I Save it (while in Source view) it's fine, until I edit anything else then it's Groundhog Day. Obviously the double square brackets don't play well with the <code> tag in CKEditor.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if it could be a problem with my setup.

The RTEs are all problematical with custom tags.
