I am getting ready to write a snippet to handle this but wondered if there was an easy way to do this that I am just overlooking.

When a web user signs on to the web site, I want them to be referred back to the referring page which the user clicked "Sign In". How do I change "loginhomeid" to equal the referring document id instead of a static, hard-coded id?

Hmmm ... that sounds like it should be the default behavior of the login snippet ...

yeah, I thought it would be default behavior also, but it always takes the signed in user back to the home page if I leave the loginhomeid parameter empty.

I remember someone found this bug in recent releases and had a solution to fix it, but I can’t seem to find it at the moment. embarrassed

Thanks OpenGeek for at least looking.

I’ve searched the forums but did not find anything answering my situation. I’ll keep looking, otherwise I’ll just write a snippet.

I still think ModX rocks smiley

Ok, it was only reported, but seems to have been forgotten about, until now.

See http://modxcms.com/bugs/task/773 -- I’ve just committed the fixes for this to trunk and will be preparing the new 0.9.6.1 maintenance release shortly.

You can see details of the changeset at http://svn.modxcms.com:8000/crucible/changelog/MODx/?cs=3056 if you want to apply the changes manually in the meantime.
