I've changed the personal details to be mine in the config file in the chunks
    example.config.php
    myexample.congig.php

    And also in the files

    example.config.php
    myexample.congig.php
    (in the folder core\components\mycomponent\_build\config)

I have also tried making the chunks static and using the files as their target

But no matter what I do when I click the "New Project" button the file that gets generated has Bob's personal details in it from the original example.config.php

I am logged in to the manager in the same browser when I try this. The MyComponent resource page is uncached and the MyComponent snippet is being called uncached.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing helps.

I'm using revo 2.2.6 on a windows localhost using xampp with version 3.0.4 of MyComponent, only two other packages installed are Ace and Wayfinder.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Mike

It sounds like you may be changing the one in the _build directory. That's the actual config for the example project.

Instead, you want to change the Tpl file: core/components/mycomponent/elements/chunks/example.onfig.php.

Yes, thanks that was it exactly. And that's where it said it was (ie in the chunk folder) in your tutorial when I re-read it.

        My exploration continues....

        Thanks

Yes, I put that in the fine print just to make things challenging for you. wink

I updated the docs to try to make it clearer. Let me know if you run into further problems.
