Something like this is around for Revolution:

For evolution i don't know if there is a ready to use solution. Whipping up a little script shouldn't be that hard, though.

As far as I know theres no import from wordpress to Evo.

Just our of interest, if your looking at importing this must be a clean install of Evo so why aren't you using Revo ?

Might be worth looking at http://modx.com/extras/package/wordpresstools
Not sure that it will do a complete import, but a starting point maybe.

There is/was in the extras somewhere a script/class for importing documents with Tv's etc. which might be useful once the xml has been parsed.
I've attached a zip copy

I used this as a base: https://github.com/devtrench/WordPress-to-MODx
But it's for Revolution and you have to make some minor changes if coming from a newer WP version.
Sorry, no experience on Evo.
