I am currently running several MODx websites on the same server using php 5.2.3 and MySQL 4.1.12
If i would upgrade MySQL to a more recent (5.x) version would I run into any issues regarding MODx?
On a sidenote: The lowest MODx version I still utilize is 0.9.5.
To my knowledge, no problem whatsoever.
All my MODx websites (8 of them) have been running with the latest MySQL5 for a year (currently I run 5.0.22) with no issue. I never encountered a problem with modules, plugin or snippet and I use quite a few on those 8 websites !

MODx est l'outil id
I’ve run MODx sites MUCH older than 0.9.5 on various versions of MySQL 4.x and 5.x without issue. Of course I always recommend a very conservative "backup > copy > upgrade the copy > test > make the copy live" upgrade path, but I wouldn’t foresee any problems.
