Its become a requirement of a project to be able to support multi-uploads via the MODX manager, and then automatically processing them.

As a test of concept, I would like to create the following senario.

    • Have the ability to upload a whole folder of photos
    • Auto populate a migx tv with the urls of all those uploaded photos
    • Which in turn would then go off and render front end

I'm thinking that I can create a TV that would take a folder URL as an input, and then create a little snippet that would go off and fetch, and then render all to the desired page.

However I would love to select a folder and render all of those directly into a migx tv.

    Any suggestions would be great.

yes, there is the multifile-upload-feature for migx, which should nearly exactly do what you want.
its also possible to create multiple different image-sizes on upload, by defining them in your mediasource with that feature.

Bruno17 are you referring to the same thing that eighthday is?

          Thanks both for the replies!

OK Got almost all the way to getting this to work and running into errors when trying to upload images via the ajax multi uploader.

"Server error, upload directory isn't writeable".

I have made a "resourceimages" folder under assets with 0777 writes... Any ideas?

P.S Just upgrading to latest modx whilst waiting for reply.

Upgraded to 2.2.6 and now works fine - wierd!

Is there a way to auto insert items after they have been multi uploaded? Or do you have to click the import from mediasource every time? [ed. note: gelstudios last edited this post 13 years, 7 months ago.]
