    I built a site on local servers w modx revo. Purchased hosting (bluehost) installed same version of revo on hosting (2.2.6) successfully. Imported database from original local installation. When I log in everything is in the management console - resources, custom tvs, etc as I would expect...but the resources give me a 500 error. I have checked my various core paths. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. [ed. note: jamesb last edited this post 13 years, 7 months ago.]

      Try clearing the cache folder and running setup again.

        Also, check the paths and URLs in core/config/config.inc.php and clear your browser cache and cookies.

          Thank you. Neither has helped. Does it change anything to know that I can view the content of the old resources in edit mode, but when i click "view" it goes to the 500 error. Also - new resources work fine. Pulling my hair out here. Pouring through the database to try and find out what is different about the new test resource from the others.

            That sounds like a Friendly URL or .htaccess problem. As a check, turn off FURLS in System Settings and rename .htaccess. If that doesn't solve it, at least it takes FURLs out of the equation.

            Also, make sure you have this in the head section of all templates:

            <base href="[[++site_url]]" />

              +1

              When you move hosting there are a number of things that can break, as during installation MODx certain things are set based on the environment you installed on.
              To "move" things you really need to move from one environment that is a mirror of the other environment .
