What's your absolute top favourite MODX feature, and why? Which feature really makes MODX stand out from other CMS systems?
For me, and I expect for a lot of people its TVs, WordPress has Custom Fields which is the closest implementation in another system I have seen; but MODX's TVs is really something special, they truly make it an infinitely configurable CMS. Usually once most developers and designs "get" how TVs work then they're hooked on MODX.

+1 Having proper control, and I do mean proper control of the cache is brilliant.

That it doesn't force features on to you, but instead suggests you use XYZ.
Absolute control over what the templates produce, and usually without too much of a fight.
complete control over final markup & migx.
Most important also for me is complete control of what's coming out on the users end.
Also I would not like to miss:
- Output Modifiers
- System Events
- MIGX =) (even if not modx core, but should be soon I hope!)
- Contexts
- API (even if I can't compare very well to other platforms)
I agree, TVs and output modifiers have allowed me to develop things in a way that fits into someone else's already engrained workflow (and improve on it in a logical way) rather than trying to making them adapt to new CMS forced workflows.
I've had to use MIGX for a few things but it feels like somewhat of a bodge (maybe I'm not savy enough with it yet), so I'd really like to hear more about the forthcoming ArrayTV.
