Title says it all. Any clue where to start with this?

I am working on a CMP which joins multiple tables into a management grid. I want to be able to update all the fields from the grid, but so far can only update data from one table.

Should I do an InnerJoin in the initialize() function, or abandon the modObjectProcessor and create a custom script? (I really would prefer to tap into the awesome power of a fully operational content management system)

Just looking for a hint before I funk up my tables by pushing data to the wrong columns.

What I ended up doing was modify the beforeSave event on the modObjectUpdateProcessor to retrieve and update fields from the related tables.
