    Hi, is there a plug-ins that allows admin to manage documents in manager area (upload, set category etc..), and allow end-users to show and navigate in documents categories?

    Thanks

      You could use a MigX TV to do this. Create a Migx TV with individual document description TVs like categories, etc. There are a few tutorials on how to create image stuff that would be similar. Just use a document instead of an image.

        Yes, I've done this with MIGx. It works very well. After all, images are only files too!

            The sample MIGx application used in the MIGx documentation has two tabs, one for item name and description, and the other for the item image. You can create as many of these items as you wish in the TV. Then you can use the provided getImageList snippet to display the images with their title and description in any HTML structure you wish.

            The exact same TV could be used to handle files instead of images. Images are only files, after all - myfile.pdf is no different to store or access than myfile.jpg. The only difference in a MIGx TV would be that the supporting input TV for the MIGx TV would be a file-type rather than an image-type TV, and the MIGx TV's grid would show the file's path rather than the rendered thumbnail of the image. http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGX.Backend-Usage

            The form tabs definition:
            [
            {"caption":"Info", "fields": [
                {"field":"title","caption":"Title"},
                {"field":"description","caption":"Description","inputTV":"richtextTV"}
            ]},
            {"caption":"File", "fields":[
                {"field":"file","caption":"File","inputTV":"fileTV"}
            ]}
            ]

            The grid columns definition:
            [
            {"header": "Title", "width": "160", "sortable": "true", "dataIndex": "title"},
            {"header": "Image", "width": "250", "sortable": "false", "dataIndex": "file"}
            ]

              you don't need to create a TV for each field when you use:

              [
              {"caption":"Info", "fields": [
                  {"field":"title","caption":"Title"},
                  {"field":"description","caption":"Description","inputTVtype":"richtext"}
              ]},
              {"caption":"File", "fields":[
                  {"field":"file","caption":"File","inputTVtype":"file"}
              ]}
              ]
                -------------------------------

                you can buy me a beer, if you like MIGX

                  And these values are retrievable through getImages? That is awesome. Now I have to delete a crapload of useless TVs.
