Hi,
I've tried changing the site wide default template in System Settings, and while it lets me change it and save the changes, it actually doesn't save or change anything.
Is there something else I need to do before this will work?
Thanks

When you change a setting and then click outside of that line of the grid, you should see a little red flag, which should go away after the setting is saved. You don't need to save anything, it's automatic. Do you see the red flag, and does it go away?

eerrrrrr and arrrrrgh
What I was doing was right clicking and getting the Update Setting box and clicking that and getting all the options and then choosing the template within that, which then gave me an option to save. Which didn't do anything
Having now tried it your way by just clicking on it, it works.
So I'm not sure what the other way is for.
I would have thought "Update" meant, well "Update" and "Save' meant "Save"
I'm so confused.
Anyway, your way worked.

I think your way would work if you also clicked outside that setting after the "Save." If you leave the page without clicking somewhere else, ExtJS isn't aware of the change (because it thinks you're still working on that setting) and it doesn't update the DB.
Ahah! We have a bug here! Using the Update Setting dialog does in fact change the settings for other fields, but not for the default template field! Try it on the boolean fields or text fields; it works. Any of the select drop-down fields; it doesn't work.
