    Hi
I have a Problem with a few Revo 2.2.6 installations on a fresh 2008R2 Webserver with Plesk Running. Everything works fine except the Packet Manager shows a blank page.

    Environment:
    Server 2008 R2 x64 newest updates
    IIS 7.5
    Plesk 11.0.9
    PHP 5.2.17

Everytime the Packet Manager is accessed the following errors are posted to the php error log:

[19-Feb-2013 15:30:03] PHP Warning: is_file() [<a href='function.is-file'>function.is-file</a>]: open_basedir restriction in effect. As far as i know, the error you are getting is due folder rights, i.e. the folder you are trying to acces belongs to another user. It could also be that you haven't configured your paths correctly, try using absolute paths.

I does sound like a permissions/ownership issue, but turning off the compress_js System Setting might be worth a try.

Open_basedir limits where you can open files from, and is_file requires that you can open the files. Notice the bit in the path
          ...mgr/min//minify_modx.view...

          Is that path normal?

I've also seen mention that you cannot have mixed slash/backslash in a path on a Windows server, and your server's open_basedir looks like this:
          C:/Inetpub/vhosts/niemann-bau.de\;C:\Windows\Temp\

Checking the open_basedir setting on a MODx Cloud installation, it doesn't have the trailing slash/backslash. Could that cause a problem?

The rest of it is just header errors because MODx and PHP are both trying to display the errors.

Thanks for the help. I got it working now but the "solution" was to remove the base dir restriction on the domain. I have several other mod x installations on the same server with the same settings/version and they work fine.

ah ok i figured out what this means, if someone stumbles over this later.

                Go to the plesk interface
                >Website & Domains
                >Domain (click the link with your Domainname)
                >PHP-Settings Tab
                >open_basedir (select "none")
