      No problem, glad to help.
You've got yourself a manual way to get the search up and running.
When you say contexts, you mean pointing to multi domains? I think the .htaccess is doing weird things somewhere; either it is not set up right on both domains, and/or FURL is on there and off here...oh well

yes, I think you are right, I have an issue in the .htaccess file.

It is running multiple domains, and I did have some issues getting the context gateway plugin setup (can't remember what exactly now) but i'm sure i have some legacy issue in the .htaccess file that i'll find and sort out

I'm troubleshooting that over the next couple of days (during the day where I am, so it's the middle of the night in NZ, so as not to affect the site, hopefully!)

hi again donshakespeare... I have changed my .htaccess file (reverted pretty much back to the default) but I am still getting the issue I noticed the other day. Thought I might ask you before posting another thread....

I have furls turned on, and apparently, they are working, at least in the url. However, if you look in the code that's being generated, the furls are not being used in the code created by wayfinder and getresources.
          Example:
          <li class="last"><a href="index.php?id=1958" title="Contact Us" >Contact Us</a></li>

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Is this problem occurring only with resources in a particular context, or all contexts?
//beware the strange things your server might add to your htaccess file
            RewriteEngine On
            RewriteBase /
            RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
            RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
            RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
Is the above .htaccess code present in each and every domain main root folder you are using?
It ought to be with the index.php of each context(top level domain)

-Go to your System Settings and check again your FURL details...
-Check that all contexts have these in their Settings
            site_url (http://www.mysite.com/)
            http_host (mysite.com)

-Declare within the <head> of all the templates of contexts <base href="[[!++site_url]]" />
-Clear your cache absolutely completely - even if you have to do it manually, say, through Cpanel or FTP

I had something similar once upon a time, don't remember what caused it....
It's weird that the URL is rewritten and not the inner links.

Somebody, I am sure, should be able to tell you the scientific cause for your issue with FURL

              hi,
i've managed to solve the issue. It was only occurring in the second context (not the default, web context) and I had the friendly_urls set to yes in that context. I deleted that setting, cleared the cache via modx and then manually, cleared by browser cache and voila, it's now working.
Thanks again for all the help.

Good job. Now you can move on to some sweet MODx development.
