Manager Login Failing, Session Problems!?

Hello everyone,

i am working on modx revo v 2.2.5, i have an installation with 2 contexts for 2 languages using babel.
today i tried to make a new user group who are able to login into the front-end to see specific content, but it wasn't working. after some research i noticed i have to make some configuration to make login work with multible contexts.
so i made the &contexts=`foo_context,bar_context,etc` extension to the login snippet, and also set session_cookie_domain to .domain.tld.
i also tried to set session_cookie_path to "/" because i read it in another post, but then i wasn't able to login into the manager anymore...
so i changed this setting back to "" in phpMyAdmin, cleard the cache and i was able to loggin again.

after all the login worked with a testuser in the front-end, but only in the browser where i was logged in into the manager and not in an other browser.
so i tried to reload all permissions and flush my session in the manager.

and since then i am not able to login into my manager on any browser.
i did some research on other posts but nothing worked.

one thing i noticed in the DB, everytime i try to login the table modx_session get's a new entry, already have 37 entries.
also the logincount in modx_user_attributes are increasing.
but i only see the login screen without any error showing or log entry...

so i think the system is setting the session for a wrong domain or path or something, does anyone had a similar problem or does know an answer to this problem? I have no ideas what i can try further.

This doesn't help your problems with cookies or sessions, but you could set your one manager user to have the "sudo" box checked. That might help prevent you from being locked out so you can troubleshoot more quickly...

i really have no idea what the problem was, i already tried to set the user as sudo too.
i just took a backup of last week, now everything works again. hope i won't do this evil setting again which kills my manager login
