I get an empty page when I want to login at the modx system on my host

I get an empty white page when I want to log on to the admin at http://steunpunt.nexethosting.com/manager/

what can I do to solve this?

You are going to need to provide more information; I see no reason why the manager would be blank while the front-end seems to work just fine. Perhaps this server is running tomcat and there is a conflict with the directory name, ’manager/’?

What kind of information do you mean?

and what is tomcat? can I just change the directory name ’manager/’ to anything other like ’admin/’ (I think this wouldn’t can/work).

Not easily; the directory name is currently hard-coded in too many places in the 0.9.6 and previous releases. Starting with the MODx 0.9.7 release however, every directory in MODx will be configurable at install.

BTW, there could potentially be many other reasons for your problem; this was just my first guess.
